Denture implant procedure – what is included?
After an Initial consultation and before any work is carried out our dental specialist who has advanced training in the placement and restoration of implants will carry out an extensive examination. They will review your dental histories, take X-rays and create impressions of your teeth. In some cases, we may take a (CT) scan of your mouth, which will allow us to make sure nothing will be affected by the implant placement, it can also be done to determine how much bone is available and where the best locations for the implants are. If you are not already wearing a dentures to replace your missing teeth, we will make you one, this temporary can also be used as the final denture to reduce overall costs.
Our denture implant procedure includes simple surgeries and the placement of the denture. Each procedure can be different and might include bone grafting or other preliminary procedures. Two surgeries are usually required. One which places the implants in the jawbone under your gums. The other exposes the tops of the implants.
